We had an absolutely incredible dinner at Mumtaaz recently on very special occasion. The moment we step in we realise this place is nothing less than any other fine dining Indian restaurant in Melbourne. All the starters and Main course that we ordered were cooked to perfection, flavours were incredible and visually stunning. Whether it was something from chat corner, tandoori items or authentic curries there is something to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. Their staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, making excellent recommendations. The overall ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for any occasion. Absolutely amazing experience! The food was delicious and beautifully presented, the service was warm and attentive, and the ambience was just perfect—very welcoming. Highly recommend this place for a memorable dining experience. Must try Malai Soya Chap, Butter scotch ice cream and their down to earth dal fry is heaven.

Great food and presentation. Wait staff seemed new and forgot an order then told us we didn't order it. But were friendly. Chef special goat was not great but everything else was good.

Excellent food and service. We tried several types of naan, all of which were crispy and delicious, butter chicken which was rich and creamy and chicken tandoori which was charred perfectly. The chef also came out to say hi and entertained our little one as we ate! I highly recommend if you live in the East!

I had a great meal at Mumtaz Indian Restaurant! The service was really good—friendly and helpful, making us feel comfortable. We enjoyed their tasty curry, which was full of flavor and just the right amount of spice. For dessert, we had gulab jamun and pista kulfi. The gulab jamun was soft and sweet, while the pista kulfi was creamy and nice. I definitely recommend this place for a yummy meal!
